Teach Maidenhead
Did you know that you could train locally to become a secondary school teacher?
You may be a new graduate or someone with a long established career, looking to change direction.
With TEACH MAIDENHEAD, you will do all your classroom experience in two of Maidenhead’s six secondary schools whilst also benefiting from gaining a PGCE at our nearby ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted June 2024) accredited provider - The University of Reading.
For 2025-26 we are recruiting trainees now for Art & Design, Design & Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English, History, Geography, French, German, Spanish and PE.
As well as a passion for working with young people, you will require a minimum of a 2.2 honours degree in the subject (or a closely related subject) to the one you wish to teach. Many subjects offer tax free bursaries & scholarships of between £5k & £31k to cover training costs, check https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/.../scholarships... for the most up to date information.
