RAF Music Band visits Furze Platt
Thirty-two musicians from the Band of the RAF Regiment RAF Music treated Furze Platt’s students to an exuberant performance recently in the school Theatre.
All students in Year 9 joined those studying Music in Years 10 and 12 to enjoy the show. They were a very enthusiastic audience, clapping and stomping their feet to a variety of music including the theme tunes of Doctor Who, Strictly Come Dancing, Mission Impossible and much more. As part of the performance, talented soloists from the band played various instruments, including a saw connected to an amp.
The performance was organised in collaboration with RAF Northolt and is thanks to the organisation of Chf Tech Andrew Rigby and Sergeant Andy Mears, as well as the wonderful performances of everyone in the band. Thank you to everyone involved for a very memorable visit!
